I attended bootcamp in RTC Orlando from Jun- Aug 1980. What a great experience I had there, then on to NTTC Pensacola for training as a Cryptologist. I would not trade the experience for anything in the world. The heat on the grinder that I endured marching sure beat the heat I was enduring in the tobacco fields of North Carolina (affectionately known as "Tobacco Road"). It is on my bucket list to return there just to check it out and reflect on where my professional career began. I did 21 years in the Navy and now as a DOD civilian. Life has been awesome.

Back To The Future was the best ride in the park. While you might not realize it now but, the number of people going on The Simpsons Ride is very small and when Back To The Future was there everyone in the park was riding it. Brink back BTTF, PLEASE!

Went there 27 June to 19 August 1977. Oh the heat of summer in "Boot Camp",doing infantry training on that asphalt "GRINDER". Memories of HELL;but would'nt trade them for anything. Orlando RTC turned a then 17 year old punk kid into a responsible man.

Yes, I can't believe they tore it down. I was in NPS class 8102. Then went to D1G and USS LongBeach. I'm going to Orlando on business and will stop to see the old location.
